Youth Baseball Uniforms – Dressing for the win!

Standing at home plate, the pitcher’s mound or really anywhere on the field as the game gets going can be an exciting time. One of the best feelings about being on the team is putting on your baseball uniform. When you put on that uniform there is a great sense of pride in representing your team with your friends, so you want to look your best and wear the uniform properly.
Some youth baseball teams choose to wear a baseball undershirt before putting their uniform jerseys on. Typically undershirts are primarily white or grey, with the sleeves matching the color of the team. For example, if the team is the Cardinals, their undershirts will be white with red sleeves. On hot days in the summer time you may not want to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath your uniform, but it’s a classic look if the weather permits.
Baseball socks are a must. In prior years, youth baseball players would wear white athletic socks and then pull on an outer sock called a stirrup in their team color that went over the white sock. More recently sock manufacturers knit a stirrup design right into the white sock.
Properly fitting baseball pants are an important necessity. After pulling on your baseball pants, make sure you adjust them.
